Many parents today are ill-equipped to face the numerous challenges of raising their children. This 2 hour seminar, conducted on a weeknight (7-9 PM) or weekend, teaches parents the necessity to draw strength and wisdom from God and the instruction for parenting their children from the Bible. By providing a 2 hour seminar, a church will get a much better response in attendance. The fact is, most Christian parents are not motivated to invest a lot of time in learning about parenting unless there is a current crisis in this area. This 2 hour seminar accomplishes 4 important things:

BLENDED FAMILY PARENTING
BLENDING GOD'S PRINCIPALS INTO YOUR FAMILY PARENTING
This 2-hour (weeknight) seminar is for parents of a blended family (step families). Those who are desiring to get married who want to start off right or those who want to learn how to apply God’s Word and will in the training up of their children in unity. When it comes to raising children in a blended family there are some unique issues that parent's face. Things like acceptance, adapting to each other, authority, boundaries, jealousy, and the involvement of the divorced other parent can bring some real challenges to parents. God’s Word is complete and through this seminar Pastor Craig brings clarity to how to address these issues biblically while not compromising the training up of the children. FDM will provide your church with the Parenting Is a Ministry DVD video series. The series is designed to disciple parents over an 8-week period in a group setting. UNDERSTANDING TEENS
BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES FOR PARENTING TEENS TO MATURITY
This 2-hour (weeknight) seminar is designed to give parents of pre-teens and teens an understanding of the emotional and developmental changes of adolescence, offering practical tools to embrace this sometimes difficult and challenging season of life and to raise their children to maturity. Understanding Teens seminar is supplemental to the Parenting Is a Ministry study coarse. FDM will provide your church with the Parenting Is a Ministry DVD video series. The series is designed to disciple parents over an 8-week period in a group setting. Series include workbooks in a PDF format easily printed or emailed. The seminar will inspire parents to attend the 8-week Parenting Is a Ministry study coarse.

WHAT IS TEEN DATING ANYWAY?
BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES FOR OPPOSITE-SEX FRIENDS
This three-hour seminar, taught on a weeknight, is for parents, pre-teens and teens. Parents and youth are taught separately. The topics for pre-teens and teens includes how to maintain healthy friendships with the opposite sex, the pitfalls of becoming emotionally involved, the truth about sex and the consequences of sexual activity, and why and how to embrace and involve parents in this area. The topics for parents includes how to define opposite-sex friend relationships, to maintain a positive, loving relationship with your teen, to establish boundaries, keep the lines of communication open and how to talk to your teen about sex.

SPIRITUAL DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING
This three-hour seminar presents the church's calling to make disciples, the biblical basis for discipleship, the qualifications to be a disciple and how to establish an effective discipleship ministry in your church. This seminar will train men and women in your church to disciple and mentor others.

YOUTH MENTORING
This half-day seminar will cover the biblical reasons why the church should be mentoring youth, providing in-depth instructions on how to get started, security procedures, recruiting both mentors and children and how to avoid the pitfalls along the way. Family Discipleship Ministries has proven that youth mentoring is possible by establishing and successfully conducting a youth mentor ministry that over 450 children have completed.

SPEAKER'S BIO

Pastor Craig Caster is the Founder and Director of the Family Discipleship Ministries. Craig has gained a reputation among many churches as a trusted resource for equipping and ministering to families. He has developed biblically based marriage and parenting tools and has taught thousands through seminars hosted in churches across the US and Internationally. Pastor Craig has been a keynote speaker at many conferences, retreats, and family camps, as well as having a weekly radio program. He has over 20 years of family ministry experience as a youth pastor, marriage and family counselor, teacher, speaker and author. Craig has been married since 1980 and has 3 children.
